UNESCO/IUPAC Postgraduate Course in Polymer Science – Call for application

The Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences (IMC) has released a call for applicants for the 2022/2023 UNESCO/IUPAC Course in Polymer Science.

IMC focuses on research on synthetic polymers. It benefits from both the diversity and depth of specialization in polymer research that is carried out under one roof. The scientific projects range from preparing specific biomacromolecular systems for medical purposes to finding safe procedures for the recycling and elimination of plastic waste. Basic research predominates at the Institute; however, the scientists closely cooperate with industry to apply the research.

The course is organized under the auspices of the Czech Academy of Sciences, UNESCO and IUPAC. The participants of the postgraduate course come to the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry to learn more about polymer chemistry and at the same time work on their own scientific project under the guidance of experienced researchers. This year (2021-22) is the 26th run and nine young researchers from six countries are taking part in the course.

Application deadline: 21 February 2022 >> see details at https://www.imc.cas.cz/events/unescoiupac/application
