Each year IUPAC endorses a large number of independently organized conferences, symposiums and workshops that cover a wide range of specialized topics in chemistry. Endorsement by IUPAC attests to the quality of the scientific program and indicates the host country’s assurance that scientists from all countries may participate. See program details.

InChI and IUPAC data standards mini-workshop

  • This event has passed.

A IUPAC/InChI mini-workshop will be held on the Friday Aug 17 and Saturday Aug 18 prior to the ACS meeting in the Boston Westin Waterfront next to the convention center. There are several break-out sessions planned on current topics relevant to InChI and IUPAC data standards, and some meetings of the InChI Trust. This will be a working meeting focused on advancing various projects and proposals at various stages of completion.

Topics and discussion leads expected:
[1] Large molecules (Evan Bolton) (IUPAC project 2015-019-2-800)
[2] Organometallics (Ian Bruno) (project 2009-040-2-800)
[3] Mixtures (Leah McEwen, Gerd Blanke, Alex Clark) (project 2015-025-4-800)
[4] Education portal (Bob Belford, Vin Scalfani) (project 2018-012-3-024)
[5] IUPAC file formats – SMILES, CTAB (Evan Bolton, Vin Scalfani)
[6] Variability in InChI general discussion (Leah McEwen, Evan Bolton)
[7] Open discussion on other topics of community interest

We are hopeful that you will attend and join the discussion. If you are able to make this workshop, please let us know. If there are additional topics of interest, please also let us know. For detailed schedule and room assignments, see https://bit.ly/InChI_Boston
