Summary

In this proposed Women’s Breakfast event scheduled ffo 14 February 2023, Women and Girls in Science will have the opportunity of building a network of mentors and champions (males) hungry to close the Gender Gap in Science. it will deploy a creative approach to collective sense-making. Here, presentation on challenges, signals for change, seeds of change, and significant developments shall be made. The new exciting areas of knowledge on which Africa should deliberately invest in order to fulfill the Africa Agenda 2063 vision of becoming the global intellectual development hot-bed of the future will be discussed. Breakthroughs and contributions by STEMM women as well as efforts by some male champions to closing gender gaps in Science will be shared and feedback from girls in Science will be considered.
