Joint IUPAC-DSM Workshop on LC-MS method validation and performance – 2nd edition of DSM workshop “LC-MS and LC-MS/MS method validation in the scientific research”
Considering the success of the previous edition, the Mass Spectrometry Division of the Italian Chemical Society (DSM-SCI) announces this second workshop, jointly organized with IUPAC in collaboration with the CNR, within the frame of the IUPAC project 2021-036-1-500 “LC-MS quantitative method validation and performance: an exemplified guide”.
This edition will be entirely dedicated to the validation of analytical methods, specifically using LC-MS, covering main concepts in the validation and the most important method performance parameters. A review of the present status of validation steps in several areas of interest (e.g. food, forensic, pharmaceutical, clinical, environmental) will be discussed, as well as the best quality control (QC) strategies and External quality assurance (EQA) programs. Moreover, the workshop intends to provide real-life examples and a practical session dedicated to validation software.
Topics of interest:
- Existing guidelines and new IUPAC technical report
- Definitions
- Applicability
- Experimental approached
- Validation
- Metrology
- Software and bionformatic tools
