Polymers for a Sustainable Future
The European Polymer Congress, organized by the European Polymer Federation (EPF), stands as the most significant European conference in the field of Polymer Science and Technology. As the flagship event of EPF—a non-profit organization that includes nearly all National Polymer Societies in Europe—the conference has grown substantially since its inception in 2001. With 24 full members and 4 associate members, the biennial congress attracts an increasingly diverse and expanding participation.
The theme for EPF 2025, “Polymers for a Sustainable Future,” is of special significance in the current era, addressing the urgent need for sustainable solutions in various industries. The conference will convene leading scientists engaged in macromolecular chemistry, polymer science, physics of polymers, and polymer materials, along with experts in modern polymer applications, polymer reaction engineering, rheology and polymer processing, and polymer characterization methods.
The thematic sessions will cover a wide array of cutting-edge topics such as advances in polymer synthesis, green polymer synthesis, supramolecular polymer systems, polymers for biological, medical, and food applications, modern characterization techniques, rheology and polymer processing, additive manufacturing, polymer systems for a reduced carbon footprint, recycling techniques, and design for recycling, as well as theory, modeling, and AI approaches of polymers and their properties.
Distinguished plenary, keynote, and invited speakers from around the globe will share insights into the latest developments in polymer research. The program will feature contributions from both seasoned and emerging scientists through oral and poster presentations. Industry representatives are also actively encouraged to participate, recognizing the pivotal role of collaboration between universities, research centers, and industry in driving technological advancements.
