Description

As part of the project students learn about Noble gasses and as an output of the project, they were require to write a song. The Song of the Royal describes the properties of Noble gasses. Students composed the music and performed it live on their science open day.

The Song of the Royals

We are hoity toity
And we do not party
For we are nobility
And enjoy our tranquility

We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon
We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon

When the day is gone
And the lamps turn on
Pink and red, blue and green
Majestically we strut and preen

We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon
We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon

We are easy to melt
And though around you, we are unfelt
With no colour and no smell
We have no parallel

We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon
We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon

We are near ideal gases
And so have no crushes
We are where no reactions are wanted
Hence our growth is rather stunted

We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon
We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon

The oldest of us all is Helium
He causes some pandemonium
Born when hydrogen atoms fuse
He sends out energy of all hues

We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon
We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon

Radon is the naughty one
Her deeds are hard to be undone
For she is highly radioactive
And can be very destructive

We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon
We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon

We are an unconquerable family
Our doors are closed resolutely
When elements approach us ignobly
We reject these intruders stoically

We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon
We are Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon
