Science as a Human Right

November 10 is be the World Science Day for Peace and Development

https://www.un.org/en/events/scienceday/ and also the International Science Center and Science Museum Day (ISCSMD) https://www.iscsmd.org. Both are an opportunity to highlight the significant role of science in society and the need to engage the wider public in debates on emerging scientific issues. It also underlines the importance and relevance of science in our daily lives.

ISCSMD activities represent a united international effort to raise awareness and encourage action towards global sustainability, focusing on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which seek to end poverty, fight inequalities, tackle climate change, and transform our world—while ensuring that no one is left behind.

Read outline and invitation to participate drafted by Walter Staveloz and published in CI Oct 2018, Where 2B&Y [download PDF], pp. 46-47.
