Objective
The third volume of “Successful Drug Discovery” will be published in April 2018 by Wiley-VCH. The new project continues to present new drug discoveries: small-molecule-, peptide- and protein-based drugs. This will include both pioneer drugs (first in class drugs) and drug analogues (follow on drugs) in a range of therapeutic areas. The major part of the book is devoted to case histories of new drug discoveries described by their key inventors.
Description
The following chapters are planned:
- Molecular Targets of Drugs (John P. Overington, Medicines Discovery Catapult, UK)
- Physicochemical Parameters of Recently Approved Oral Drugs (Andreas Ritzén, Drug Design, LEO Pharma, Denmark)
- Orally Active Peptide-based Drugs (John Philip Mayer, University of Colorado)
- Dopamine Partial Agonists – Discovery, Evolution and Therapeutic Potential (Marlene Jacobson and Wayne Childers, Temple University, Philadelphia, USA)
