Description

In order to raise the profile of InChI and to allow exchange of views amongst publishers and database providers using and developing InChI applications, a symposium has been arranged to take place on March 22 2009 at the American Chemical Society Spring meeting in Salt Lake City. Among organizations presenting papers are:

US National Center for Biotechnology Information
John Wiley & Sons
Symyx Technologies
ChemSpider
Pfizer
Nature
US National Cancer Institute

A meeting of the IUPAC InChI subcommittee has been arranged for the following day, to maximize attendance at both events and minimize costs. Funding is required for the members of the InChI Task Group to attend both. Other members of the subcommittee will provide their own funding, as follows:

Dr Colin Batchelor (Royal Society of Chemistry, UK)
Dr Evan Bolton (US National Center for Biotechnology Information)
Dr Alexander Lawson (Elsevier, Frankfurt)
Dr Marc Nicklaus (US National Cancer Institute)
Dr Christopher Steinbeck (European Bioinformatics Institute)
Dr Graeme Whitley (Wiley, New York)
Dr Jason Wilde (Nature, London)
Dr Antony Williams (ChemSpider)
