Members of ICSU and ISSC vote to merge

At a historic joint meeting, members of two leading international science councils, ICSU and ISSC, voted to merge, launching a process that will see the formation of a single global entity called the International Science Council that unites the scientific community, including all social and natural sciences and whose vision will be to advance all sciences as a global public good.

For IUPAC, President Natalia Tarasova and Past President Mark Cesa took part in the meeting. IUPAC is one of 31 Unions Member of ICSU.
