Interview with IUPAC President Mary Garson

IUPAC’s Vision for a Data Driven, Sustainable Future

Mary Garson, Emerita Professor in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences at the University of Queensland, Australia, is serving as IUPAC President for the 2026–2027 biennium.

In this interview, she speaks with Dr. Spiros Kitsinelis of the Association of Greek Chemists, Editor of Chimica Chronica and the Journal of the Association of Greek Chemists, about IUPAC’s evolving role in data standards, ethical AI, and international collaboration.
