Theme

Create a short, dynamic TikTok video highlighting ONE of the following topics:

How is the extraordinary world of quantum science shaping the fabric of our everyday lives?
How can we reimagine and transform the world of science to create a more equitable future?

Guidelines

Video Length: 30 seconds maximum
Audience: Aim to inspire and engage young people globally
Content: Showcase creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme
Language: Submissions can be in any language, but non-English entries must include English subtitles

How to Participate

Post your video on your TikTok account or any other social platform, for example, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, WeChat.
Include all three hashtags #GWB2025, #IUPAC, and #IYQ in the video post.
Upload a copy of your posted video and provide a link to your social post using the on-line form to confirm your entry.
Submitted videos will be posted to a web-page on the GWB site for all to view.

Important Dates

Submission Deadline for Welcome Video Consideration: Midnight January 31, 2025 Eastern Standard Time (New York).
Edited portions of videos submitted by January 31 may be included in the official GWB2025 Welcome Video.
Entries received through March 31, 2025 will still be posted on our website.

Prizes

All submitters will receive a virtual certificate from IUPAC.

Featured Recognition: Selected videos will be showcased in the GWB2025 Welcome Video and shared widely across our global networks.

People’s Choice Award: A special prize will be awarded to the video with the most engagement (likes, shares, and comments).
