Summary

On 10 February 2026, the PPKP, Faculty of Applied Sciences (FSG), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam successfully hosted the Global Women’s Breakfast 2026 (GWB 2026), bringing together 35 participants for a meaningful and engaging gathering. The program was part of a worldwide initiative supported by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) and the Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) to recognize and celebrate the role and contributions of women in science. Guided by the theme “Many Voices, One Science,” the event focused on creating space for conversation and connection among women in the chemical sciences. The program featured two invited speakers, Associate Professor ChM Dr. Karimah Kassim and Associate Professor ChM Dr. Fatimah Salim. The program concluded with a webinar session from IKM further supported networking within the scientific community. Overall, the gathering provided a warm and constructive platform for connection among women in science.
