Summary
The activity station “Stretch Beyond Limits” is a creative chemistry learning program for lower secondary students at Huayyangsuksa School, Rayong Province, Thailand. Supported by the Chemical Society of Thailand, the activity was conducted by undergraduate and graduate students from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University.
Participants explored fundamental chemistry concepts through hands-on slime-making using various formulations, learning about polymer properties, cross-linking, and factors affecting elasticity. Working in teams, students designed and tested their slime and joined a friendly competition to stretch it the farthest. The activity encouraged scientific thinking, teamwork, creativity, and inspired students to see chemistry as fun and relevant to everyday life.
