Summary
A Brunch-Style Breakfast at the Clean Energy Innovation Research Centre, National Research Council Canada (National Capital Region) for our second IUPAC Global Breakfast. The room was filled with stories, encouragement, and thoughtful discussion about leadership, resilience, and supporting one another. We were honoured to welcome Dr. Zoltan Mester, Secretary General of IUPAC, and also Dr. Adilah Bahadoor, Secretary of the IUPAC Canadian National Committee to our gathering, bringing global scientific leadership directly into our local celebration. Having both global and national IUPAC leadership present made this year’s Global Women’s Breakfast especially significant. Colleagues also hosted parallel gatherings in Vancouver and Mississauga, making this feel even bigger than one room. Grateful to the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) for supporting the event. Sometimes impact looks like policy. Sometimes it looks like coffee, conversation, and community.
