Summary

As part of our mission towards furthering DE&I, we – Chemistry Europe and Angewandte Chemie – are hosting an event connected to the “IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast”, #GWB2026, an initiative of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), on February 10, 2026.
Aligning with the global theme of #GWB26, “Many Voices, one Science”, we will feature stimulating input talks including from Prof. Eva Blasco (Universität Heidelberg), Svjetlana Jerkovic (Women in Chemicals | IMAGINE | ICL Group, Amsterdam), & Charlotte Gerischer (JungChemikerForum (JCF) der Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker e.V. (GDCh)) as well as discussions centring on "The Power of Networks". After the talks – which will be livestreamed between the Weinheim and Berlin sessions and also to our global audience – there will be room to discuss and network among the participants and participating editors from our journals, accompanied by food and beverages.
