Summary
The Department of Chemistry, Elphinstone College, Mumbai, is organizing the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast–2026 on 10 February 2026 at 2.30 p.m.
As part of this programme, an invited lecture will be delivered by Prof. Savita Ladge (Retired), Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR, Mumbai, on the topic “Learning through Problem Solving in Chemistry.” The lecture will be followed by a group discussion session, which will be conducted during the snack break to facilitate informal interaction.
The primary objective of organizing this event is to motivate and encourage female students in shaping their future careers, while also providing them with a valuable opportunity to interact with a renowned scientist and educator. The programme aims to inspire students through shared experiences, guidance, and meaningful dialogue.
