Summary

As part of the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast 2026, Tashkent State Technical University and the Uzbek-Japan Innovation Center of Youth are jointly organizing an interdisciplinary mentoring breakfast for female students and young female researchers from natural sciences, engineering, economics, and social sciences.
The event is designed as an informal round-table coffee discussion, emphasizing open dialogue rather than formal presentations. Senior female professionals and researchers from diverse fields will act as mentors, sharing real-life experiences of career development, personal decision-making, and balancing professional ambitions with family and personal life.
By reframing career development through a sustainability prism, the discussion will explore how women make strategic choices under real-life constraints such as time, energy, societal expectations, and institutional structures. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on career paths.
