We are organising a departmental breakfast buffet to bring together undergraduate students, postgraduate
researchers, and staff to celebrate women in science, promote their visibility, and foster a strong sense of
community across all levels of the department.
As part of the celebration, we plan to create a series of virtual posters featuring short biographies from
female staff members, highlighting their scientific journeys, career pathways, and reflections on being
women in STEM. These profiles will serve both as inspiration on the day and as resources for future
departmental outreach and promotional activities, showcasing the diversity of experiences within our Chemistry community.
Overall, the event aims to create an inclusive, celebratory, and inspiring environment that recognises
the contributions of women in chemistry and encourages students to feel part of a supportive and
empowering scientific community.
