Summary
The IUPAC Women Scientists Breakfast Meeting is a public-benefit event for women working in chemistry and related scientific fields. Organized by IUPAC member units worldwide, it features cross‑border live connections and thematic sharing sessions to discuss opportunities and challenges for women in science and technology, aiming to foster the growth and confidence of women scientists around the globe. The Women Chemists Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society is responsible for organizing the event in China, and this year marks its seventh participation in this remarkable initiative. As the event continues to expand, the 2026 Breakfast Meeting is planned to be held in 12 cities: Beijing, Changchun, Lanzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, and Hong Kong. All host cities will join via video link to celebrate this global occasion together. This will be the second time that the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences hosts the event.
