Summary
As part of our mission towards furthering DE&I, we – Chemistry Europe and Angewandte Chemie – are hosting an event connected to the “IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast”, #GWB2025, an initiative of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), on February 11, 2025. Held in conjunction with the U.N. Day of Women and Girls in Science, the goal of the GWB series is to establish an active network of people of all genders to overcome the barriers to gender equity in science.
The theme of #GWB2025 is Accelerating Equity in Science. We will hold two parallel events at our offices in Weinheim and Berlin, to bring together scientists of all genders in the field of chemistry and related disciplines. The event will feature three speakers who will share their experiences and insights on the topic of academia and parenting, and there will be ample opportunities for networking between scientists from different career stages, including our in-house editorial teams.
