Summary

This event will feature a workshop for eighty (80) female students from eight (8) Girls' Secondary Schools on STEM education. It will be an opportunity to consolidate the Mentor/Mentee relationship created during the #GWB2022 event. These schools were invited for motivational talks from four (4) female lecturers from Four different tertiary institutions in Rivers State. During the event, there will be an interactive session between these students and some postgraduate students of IYCN drawn from the participating universities. Some lecturers from other science disciplines in the Faculty of Science (Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science) and the Faculty of Engineering will be invited also. Members of the Chemical Society of Nigeria, Rivers State chapter who are working in the industry (Petrochemical and the energy sector) will be part of the resource team.
