The PE regional SBQ, on February 14 at 10:00 am, will promote one of the events of the Global Women's Breakfast, an annual action of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (Iupac) in celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Instituted from an initiative of UNESCO and the UN and celebrated on February 11th. The event entitled “Gender equality: Importance of girls in sci: importance of girls in science” will have the participation of professors Claudete Fernandes Pereira, Director of CCEN-UFPE, and Giovanna Machado, researcher at the Center for Strategic Technologies of the Northeast (CETENE) and Coordinator of the Future Scientists Program. This event aims to celebrate the achievements of Women in Science and inspire and encourage younger generations to pursue careers in science, bearing in mind that advancing gender equality in science will contribute to economic and sustainable development in order to address the main global challenges.
