Gender equality in science has long entered the mainstream debate and many networks have been successfully launched to raise awareness and overcome barriers towards this goal. Nonetheless meaningful actions are still needed for a more inclusive, diverse and respectful community.
In this panel discussion, the IYCN will invite panelists that will exchange and discuss ideas, strategies and actions on how to effectively adapt the concept of allies networks to promote gender equality in science: How can everyone in the scientific community, members of all ages, gender identities and sexual orientations, ethnicities and ranks, in research and management, be encouraged and empowered to actively contribute to cultural change in science?
