Summary
Under the Patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, President of the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), a virtual seminar entitled "Empowering Diversity in Science" will be held to celebrate women scientists at the RSS. The event will be held virtually on February 16, 2022.
An introduction will be given by Dr Amna Jrrar, Assistant Researcher at RSS, followed by a welcome address by the patron of the event, HRH Princess Sumaya, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Science for Peace, highlighting the importance of diversity in science and how to empower women scientists.
Two keynote speeches will be delivered, the first by Dr Jwan Ibinni from the Hashemite University, Jordan and the second by Dr Suhair Sunoqrot from the Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan. Each speaker will present a short view of her scientific research journey and her reflections about diversity in science. A discussion with the audience will follow, and the event will close with a group picture of the attendees.
