Summary
Last year for the first time, the Department of Chemistry joined hundreds of women in chemistry around the world for the annual IUPAC Global Women’s breakfast. Sadly we won’t be able to meet in the cyber café this year, but we invite you still to join us for breakfast over zoom.
The event is aimed to build networks with your colleagues both here in the department and further afield, and is an informal opportunity to discuss challenges faced in the work place. This year’s global theme is ‘Empowering Diversity Science’, and we strongly encourage people of all gender identities to bring along their breakfast and join the discussion.
In addition, we have collaborated with the RSC and other institutions around the UK to bring groups together virtually in a national event. The event will be from 9-10 on the 9th of February.
