Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, Dr Melita Menelaou obtained her Diploma in Chemical Engineering and her PhD from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece. Her research interests are multi-disciplinary and encompass a range of synthetic, structural, and physicochemical problems in modern materials, straddling the areas of natural sciences and engineering.
