Summary
The event organized by the Khemeia Student Council group (formed by eleventh-grade students of the Institution) will be divided into two sections. The first one, a panel in which students will ask questions to our special guests including professors, engineers, and professionals in the chemical industry; those questions must revolve around the main topic of the event: Chemistry as an alternative to evolve as a society and how it can contribute to solve global problematics. During the second section, a Breakfast will be held and each group of students, along with one of the guests, will formulate conclusions about the following subjects:
• The carbon footprint and the greenhouse effect
• Industries lack of compromise with the environment
• Inefficiency in the use of raw materials
• Education dissociated to urgent global problematics
