SUMMARY:28th International Conference on Chemistry Education
DESCRIPTION:ICCECRICE 2026 – Chemistry Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence \n28th International Conference on Chemistry Education (ICCE) jointly with 17th European Conference on Research in Chemical Education (ECRICE) \nChemistry education is a field concerned with teaching and learning of chemistry. The content of Chemistry education research (CER) ranges from understanding the history and philosophy of chemistry\, which guides on us how chemistry knowledge was developed\, to the application of emerging technologies and tools for more effective teaching and learning of chemistry. CER has grown as a field substantially over the past 60 years but is still a relatively young subdiscipline of chemistry. Although substantial progress has been made in identifying evidence-based strategies to support the teaching and learning of chemistry\, we have yet to realize widespread systemic change regarding how chemistry is taught at the secondary school and tertiary levels. Connecting chemistry educators at the secondary education level with chemistry education researchers in academia has never been more vitally needed\, and yet these groups are still frustratingly divided. \nConferences\, congresses and symposiums in CER serve as a medium to bring together practitioners and researchers to exchange ideas and recent developments. ICCE is one of the leading biannual conferences in CER initiated back in 1969 by IUPAC and ECRICE is the European equivalent run by the Division of Chemical Education of EuChemS. Turkish Chemical Society (TCS) organized the 18th ICCE in 2004 and also the 9th ECRICE in 2008. The joint organization of 28th ICCE & 17th ECRICE (ICCECRICE 2026) will bring the experience of ICCE and ECRICE back to Türkiye\, which had been experienced in 2012 in Rome-Italy. \nWe welcome all chemistry education researchers from all over the World in Erzurum\, Türkiye on July 13-17\, 2026. \n  \nICCECRICE 2026 Chair:\nProf. Dr. Mustafa SÖZBİLİR\, Atatürk University\,  sozbilir@atauni.edu.tr \nSecretariat: iccecrice@atauni.edu.tr \n\nSee Call for nominations for the 2026 Education awards

DESCRIPTION:The main aim of this conference for nearly 30 years has been to bring together both academia and industry at all levels; this includes researchers involved in experiments\, theory\, computer simulations\, and artificial intelligent to achieve a systemic understanding of the connections between the structures\, properties\, and applications of all types of polymers. Based on the underlying theme of ‘Smart\, Sustainable & Data-Driven Polymeric Materials: From Molecular Design to Circular Applications’\, POLY-CHAR 2026 will to help promote cross-disciplinary understanding between the classical branches of polymer science and some of the more avant-garde fields. The conference theme covers topics of special significance at present\, such as sustainability\, recyclability\, energy\, health\, security\, and AI. \nAnother key point of POLY-CHAR is that it has always placed special emphasis on international collaboration\, promotion of young scientists\, and providing a collegial environment. It should also be noted that a good balance between gender and senior and young scientists has and will be sought throughout both the organization and duration of the conference. One of the features of the program will be the ‘flash presentation’ sessions\, in which brilliant researchers in the early stages of their career will be given the opportunity to present orally their work at an international conference. \nContact/Chair POLY-CHAR 2026:\nPakorn Opaprakasit <pakorn@siit.tu.ac.th>\nSchool of Integrated Science and Innovation\,\nSirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT)\,\nThammasat University\, Pathum Thani\, 12120\, Thailand \nor polychar2026@gmail.com \n— \nPhoto by Bharath Mohan on Unsplash
