Each year IUPAC endorses a large number of independently organized conferences, symposiums and workshops that cover a wide range of specialized topics in chemistry. IUPAC is the global organization that provides objective scientific expertise and develops the essential tools for the application and communication of chemical knowledge for the benefit of humankind and the world. In 2019 IUPAC entered its second century, providing an opportunity to launch initiatives to create a more diverse and inclusive community. This webinar offers an overview, some insights and progress on this journey, with a focus on gender issues.
