Following the positive experience of last year’s event, the 5th Ontologies4Chem Workshop aims to continue fostering open discussions, hands-on collaboration, and community-driven progress in chemical ontologies and semantic infrastructure.
Event Fact-Sheet
Schedule:
- Arrival Day: November 2, 2026.
- Workshop Core Program: November 3–5, 2026.
- Departure Day: November 6, 2026.

A Community-Driven Agenda
This year, the workshop adopts a new, highly interactive approach to organize the event. Similarly to MADICES, a public GitHub repository has been set up to gather, discuss, and vote on ideas for topics. The goal is to co-create an agenda that truly reflects the most pressing needs, current priorities, and interests of the community.
Call for Contributions
Attendees are warmly invited to propose and upvote topics in the following formats:
- Presentations: Share relevant ontologies, case studies, technical challenges, or user experiences.
- Discussion Topics: Propose themes for deeper exploration, such as best practices, interoperability, or ongoing challenges in ontology use.
- Hacking & Collaborative Sessions: Suggest topics for collaborative problem-solving, hands-on breakout groups, ontology curation, or development.
