Each year IUPAC endorses a large number of independently organized conferences, symposiums and workshops that cover a wide range of specialized topics in chemistry. Endorsement by IUPAC attests to the quality of the scientific program and indicates the host country’s assurance that scientists from all countries may participate. The conference must be located in a country represented in IUPAC by a National Adhering Organization. See program details.

25th International Conference on High Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy

  • This event has passed.

The next ICHRMS conference, BILBAO2018, will take place in Bilbao, Spain, September 3rd-7th, 2018. It will be organized jointly by the University of Valladolid and the University of Basque country in Bilbao, with Alberto Lesarri and Emilio J. Cocinero as chairmen.

Contributions are invited in the fields of:
– Observation, measurement, and analysis of high resolution rotational, vibrational, or electronic spectra of molecules (radicals, ions, complexes, clusters) in the gas phase or in matrices.
– Developments in experimental techniques for spectral observation.
– Theory assisting the prediction, simulation, and spectral interpretation.
– Applications in related fields such as the Physics and Chemistry of the atmosphere, planets, cool stars or interstellar medium, chemical kinetics, biologically important molecules in the gas phase or in matrices, combustion, cold molecules, metrology, chemical analysis and other fields analysed using spectroscopy.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Prague Conference series, the Atomic and Molecular Physics Division (GEFAM) of the Spanish Physics (RSEF) and Chemistry (RSEQ) Societies will award the “Miguel Catalán” Medal, commemorating the work and contribution of this Spanish spectroscopist of the 20th century to the field of Atomic or Molecular Physics.
