Initially scheduled in Sep 2020, this conference will now run an hybrid format.

The Solid State Conference series was founded by Prof. Frumar as a symposium for scientists working in the field of solid state chemistry, chemistry and physics of novel inorganic materials. New concepts, approaches, fundamental understanding, as well as the application aspects of inorganic materials have been discussed. The conference is a truly international event with a worldwide geographical distribution of the participants.

The SSC2020 is planned to be a forum for presentation of new results in the area of solid state chemistry and also for bridging the gap between scientific understanding and technical requirements and application, emphasizing enormous potential of solid state chemistry, materials and technologies, in today’s world.

Special attention will be paid to participation of young scientists and early stage researchers, who will have an opportunity to meet the leaders in their particular field of research and present their result. A student poster competition is planned, with prize allocated for the 3 best posters, to encourage further scientific development of PhD students.

In 2020 the conference will be for the first time organised by FunGlass Centre of the Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín.
