In honor of the 100th anniversary of IUPAC, on February 12th, 2019, chemists worldwide will come together as part of IUPACs initiative entitled: Empowering Women in Chemistry: A Global Networking Event The celebration for the New York region will be held at the Schrödinger headquarters in NYC. We would love for you to be a part of this event which aims to bring together women chemists, both students and professionals, and those who support and advocate for women in chemistry. In line with this being a global event, we will virtually connect with our chemistry colleagues in Boston, where we’ll be inspired by keynote speakers Margaret Chu-Moyer, Vice-President of Research at Amgen and Rebecca Ruck, Director of Process Chemistry at Merck. They will speak about overcoming and persevering through the challenges they have faced during their careers, and ways in which they work to promote women in chemistry. If you are in the Boston region, we encourage you to support their local event. This breakfast is open to all, with the hopes of bringing together men and women at all stages of their career, from students to established professionals. Space is very limited so please don’t miss out on this opportunity to celebrate women in chemistry. We look forward to connecting on the 12th! This event would not be possible without the generous support of Schrödinger! Registrations are essential! Please bring ID to show security upon entering the building.
