2019 is the 100th anniversary of IUPAC and the 150th anniversary of the development of the Periodic Table by Dmitry Mendeleev. The Women in Chemistry (WinC) committee, part of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) Victoria Branch, are kicking off our 2019 calendar with the IUPAC “Empowering Women in Chemistry” global event on 12th of February. We invite you to join us at our event at CSIRO Clayton from 7.30am local time. This event will be a valuable opportunity for all chemists, especially women, to expand their network and to learn more about WinC and meet our committee. We will also be connected to some of the local and international groups who have joined this global event. This event will also include interactive activities and a plenary speaker.
