The Global Breakfast at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden will bring together female faculty and students for an informal breakfast 08:00 – 9:30. Come as you are, when you have time, and stay as long as you wish. The breakfast is organized by the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the Chalmers Student Union chapters for Chemical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering with Physics & Biotechnology, with additional support of local IUPAC volunteers. We hope the spirit of Sweden’s first female engineer, Vera Sandberg (1895-1979), will oversee the event from above. Vera graduated from Chalmers in Chemical Engineering 1917 and had a long career in Swedish chemical industry as a chemist and engineer, but also as a company partner and a corporate board member.
