Siba Moussa is a PhD candidate in Chemistry at McGill University. She holds a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry from Texas A&M University. She is a life long member of Tau Beta Pi is the current Vice President of the Electrochemical Society Montreal Student Chapter. She is also an active member of the McGill Chemistry Outreach group in which she enjoys science communication for kids of all ages. She is a member of the Syrian Kids Foundation where she strives to make education accessible and attending university a reality for Syrian refugee children in remote areas. In her graduate research, Siba is currently working on developing sensors for neurochemical detection in hopes of understanding the underlying mechanisms behind neurodegenerative disorders.
