Dr. Michael A. Terzidis received his BSc in Chemistry (2005) and gained his PhD (2010) in Organic Chemistry from the Chemistry Department of the University of Thessaloniki (Greece). Afterwards he moved to Bologna (Italy) where he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity (ISOF) of the National Research Council (CNR). Ιn 2011 he won a Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship to perform state-of-the art research on the DNA damage and repair research field for two-years.

In 2014 he moved to Guildford (UK) where he extended his postdoctoral research at the Advance Technology Institute (ATI) of the University of Surrey focusing on the laser-induced flow photochemistry. Part of his work for the latter project was taking place at the Chemistry Department of the University College London (UCL). In 2015 he was promoted to Lecturer (fixed-term) in Molecular Electronics at the ATI of the University of Surrey. Then, in 2016 he returned to Thessaloniki (Greece) and he is currently working as a Research Scientist at the Research and Development Centre for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) of Pharmathen S.A.
